Edinburgh Law School & Cameron PhD Studentships in UK, 2017-2018 is open for International Students . The scholarship allows PhD level program(s) in the field of Law taught at University of Edinburgh . The deadline of the scholarship is .

PhD Studentships  in Law will be offered for 2017-2018 funded by both Edinburgh Law School and the generous legacy of Edinburgh Law School alumnus Ewan Cameron. International students are eligible to apply.

University offers a number of general and subject-specific funding schemes. The aim of the scholarships is to attract the best and most motivated people to Edinburgh.

The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1582, is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities.

Candidates must have the minimum equivalent of a 2:1 degree at undergraduate level.  A good result in a consequent and relevant Masters degree will also be expected.

Degree Level: Studentships are available for PhD degree programme.

Available Subject: Studentships are tenable in law at University of Edinburgh.

Scholarship Benefits: Each studentship covers the UK/EU rate of fee and an annual stipend of £10,000. These are tenable for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.

Eligibility: 

  • The studentship is open to applicants who have applied to study a full-time PhD in Law commencing in 2017-2018.  Successful applicants will be expected to firmly accept the offer at the time when the results of the application process are announced. Candidates who already have an offer of financial sponsorship from elsewhere will not eligible.

  • Applicants of any nationality are eligible to apply.


Nationality: International students are eligible to apply.

Entrance Requirement: The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have the minimum equivalent of a 2:1 degree at undergraduate level.  A good result in a consequent and relevant Masters degree will also be expected.
