Scholarship Description:

Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Scholarships for Non-EU Students 2023-24 is open for International Students, Non European Students . The scholarship allows PhD, Undergraduate, Postgraduate level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Romania Universities . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 01 Mar 2023.

The Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs offers scholarships to individuals from non-EU countries each year. To be eligible, candidates must have achieved a good academic record, with an average score of at least 7 on the Romanian grading system. Applicants can choose any field of study, except for Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy. Bachelor and Master programs are only available in Romanian, but PhD programs can be in English or another foreign language designated by the doctoral school. Applicants who do not speak Romanian can take a preparatory year before starting their chosen program. The application process requires submission of various documents, including diplomas, transcripts, birth certificate, passport, and CV.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, the scholarship applicant must:

  • submit a complete file;
  • present study documents issued by accredited/recognized education institutions in the country where they were issued;
  • comply with the enrolment deadline;
  • have good results in education, respectively an average of the study years, for the last graduated school of at least 7 (seven) corresponding to the scoring system in Romania or the "Good" score, as the case;
  • comply with the application submission methodology.

Application Procedure:

The scholarship application can be sent ONLY through the Study in Romania platform.

Candidates can access the platform at https://studyinromania.gov.ro, via the Apply for MFA scholarships button, or directly at https://scholarships.studyinromania.gov.ro. The platform can be accessed both in English and French.

REJECTED: Applications submitted directly by the applicants to the registry offices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the Ministry of Education, or to the e-mail addresses of the MFA employees / departments of the MFA Headquarters, or to the Romanian diplomatic missions or the foreign diplomatic missions accredited in Bucharest, will not be taken into consideration.
