2015 MRIWA Scholarships for International Students, The Minerals Research Institute of Western Australia is inviting applications for MRIWA postgraduate scholarships for Australian and international students. Applications from students for projects aligning with MRIWA’s Research Priority Plan may be made through the selected university’s scholarships office. PhD scholarships are awarded for 3 years and a six month extension may be considered.

Participating Institute: The Minerals Research Institute of Western in Australia.

Study Subject: MRIWA Directors’ PhD Scholarships are available for 3 areas of high priority to the MRIWA Board: Mineral Data Analytics, In situ Leaching and Scale up from Bench to Production. MRIWA Postgraduate PhD Scholarships will usually (but not necessarily) be awarded within major MRIWA projects, commencing from 2015.
Degree Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing postgraduate degree level at Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University and The University of Western Australia.

Eligibility:-Applications from students for projects aligning with MRIWA’s Research Priority Plan may be made through the selected university’s scholarships office as follows: Within the timing of the university rounds, domestic and international. On an ad hoc basis, initiated by a research supervisor, having a potential student who is accepted for enrolment by the university.

1. Applicants must have a defined project and be endorsed by the potential supervisor.

Eligible Nationalities: Australian and International Students can apply for these scholarships.

What does it cover: Total offer is of:

• Directors': $40,000


• Postgraduate; $30,000


• Odwyn Jones Awards: $5,000

Application Procedure: All applications must be made and will be processed through the university’s scholarship website where more details can be obtained.  The student must have been accepted for enrolment to the university before applying for any MRIWA scholarship.
