Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) announces up to 12 AIAS-COFUND Fellowships for talented researchers in the second round of applications. There are two types of fellowships are available: Junior Fellowships (a duration of 12 to 36 months): postdoctoral research careers of 2-10 years and Senior Fellowships (a duration of 6 to 18 months): postdoctoral research careers of +10 years. The fellowship is to start within the period from 1 September 2015 until 1 April 2016. A fellowship includes funds for travel, research expenses and a competitive salary. The application deadline is 11 February, 2015.

  • Fellowship is awarded in the area of science & technology, health & medical sciences, business & social sciences and arts & humanities.

  • Fellowship is available for pursuing postdoctoral research programme.

Eligibility: The eligibility for Aarhus University Fellowship program in Denmark 2015 are as under :

The target group of the programme is talented researchers with at least two years of fulltime experience after completing their PhD. Applicants can choose their research topic freely within all academic areas. Eligible applicants must comply with the following mobility demands:
Incoming fellowships: Open for non-residents of Denmark. At the time of the deadline, applicants shall not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies etc.) in Denmark for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.
Reintegration fellowships: Open for European researchers returning to Denmark from a country outside the European Union. At the time of the deadline, applicants shall not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies etc.) in Denmark for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the deadline.

  • Incoming fellowships are open for non-residents of Denmark and Reintegration fellowships are open for European researchers returning to Denmark from a country outside the European Union.

  • Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) is pleased to announce that up to 12 AIAS-COFUND Fellowships are available for talented researchers in the second round of applications. The scheme is co-funded by Aarhus University’s Research Foundation and the European Union’s 7th Framework Programme under grant agreement no 609033 and provides research opportunities for the most talented researchers from around the world.

  • Applicants will receive answers in June 2015.

  • Applications must be submitted via the AU electronic application system. Below is an overview of the content needed for the application (arranged in the same way as the application system):
    -Name, title and contact information (telephone + email)
    -Home institution (department and name of faculty)
    -Year of completed PhD
    -Desired start date (from the first of the month)
    -Mobility statement
    -Personal background
    -Area of research
    -Project abstract and description (abstract will be used for public purposes thus it must not contain confidential information)
    -References to the project description
    -Argumentation for choosing the AIAS
    -Collaborations or connections at Aarhus University
    -Suggestion of peer reviewers incl. contact information
    -Statement of no conflict of interest with the Quality Assurance group, the Selection Committee and your own proposed reviewers
    -Ethical statement
    -Upload of figures to the project description (if any)
    -Upload of CV, PhD diploma, List of publications, ethical statement and budget
    Please make sure that all the requested information is included in the application, and that the requested files are uploaded before submitting the application. If the requirements are not met, the application can be rejected.
