Africa Talent Programme 2022 - Wageningen University, Netherlands is open for African Students . The scholarship allows PhD, Post Doctorate level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Wageningen University and Research Centre . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 01 Jun 2022.

Wageningen University is initiating Africa Talent Program to assist top talents from Africa with an opportunity to pursue their Ph.D. and Postdoc positions. Applicants need to fulfill the university’s eligibility criteria and contact a professor at Wageningen University to submit their application.

Eligibility Criteria:

You are only eligible for a PhD position if you meet the entry requirements of Wageningen University for a PhD. If a candidate does not have a master’s degree yet, but will obtain one in the near future this can be stated in the application. In case an application for a postdoc position is made, candidates must have a recognized doctoral degree or a set date of PhD award in the near future. In both cases the applicant must be fluent in spoken and written scientific English.

Application Procedure:

Only a professor* at Wageningen University can submit an application to the Africa Talent Programme. Therefore, you will have to find a Wageningen professor who will endorse your application (list of chair groups and contact information can be found here). A professor of Wageningen University may only submit one application.

*When the word ‘professor’ is used, persons who have the ius promovendi at Wageningen University are meant.

It is up to the talented scientist to provide the appropriate documentation that could convince the selection committee that you are a suitable candidate for the African Talent Programme. Please use the prescribed format.

Applications will first be pre-evaluated by an appropiate Wageningen graduate school (application deadline 1 June 2022) with each of the six graduate schools allowed to submit a maximum of three applications. Individual graduate schools may have additional requirements. Please contact the graduate school related to your research area for specific information (see below). Graduate schools have to send their application in one compiled PDF-file to pieter.munster@wur.nl before 13 June 2022.
