Scholarships  are provided to assist students with the cost of their studies. This  scholarship is offered by the ANU College of Physical and Mathematical Sciences  and the Research School of Chemistry. Professor Rod Rickards FAA was one of  the founding members of the Research School of Chemistry (RSC) at the Australian  National University (ANU). This scholarship, which honours his memory and which  has been established through the generous support of his family, will provide a  high-end stipend for a PhD candidate undertaking research in the areas of  organic or biological chemistry. The successful applicant will be based at RSC  and work under the supervision of one of the academic staff in the Organic or  Biological Chemistry Sections of the School. The scholarship is the most  prestigious available within the Research School of Chemistry.
