Research Fellowship in Neurosciences, Oslo, Norway 2016



A postdoctoral research fellowship is available at the Department of BiosciencesUniversity of Oslo. Norwegian and foreign applicants can apply for this fellowship.

 


  • The candidate must have a Ph.D. or other corresponding education equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in (Physiology/Neuroscience).

  • Fellowship is provided for pursuing the postdoctoral programme.

  • Fellowship is tenable in Neuroscience at the University of Oslo in Norway

  • Position code 1352, Pay Grade: 57 – 65 (NOK 483 700 – 560 700 per year, depending on qualifications and seniority).  



Eligibility: Fellow should meet the following criteria in order to be eligible:


  • The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences has a strategic ambition of being a leading research faculty. Candidates for these fellowships will be selected in accordance with this, and expected to be in the upper segment of their class with respect to academic credentials.

  • The candidate must have a Ph.D. or other corresponding education equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in (Physiology/Neuroscience).  The preferred candidate has strong experience from in vivo investigations of brain function in animal models.

  • The research fellow should be able to work independently and structured, while at the same time engage in close collaborations. We offer broad training possibilities in the required experimental methods within a stimulating academic environment.

  • The main purpose of post-doctoral research fellowships is to qualify researchers for work in top academic positions within their disciplines.
