Scholarship Description:

Doctoral fellowship in India for ASEAN - The internationally renowned Institutions in technical education, the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) are inviting scholars from ASEAN countries to apply for PhD fellowships to strengthen the deep and historical relations between India and ASEAN. The institution thrives for its quality education and strict selection criteria. When selected, you will be able to complete your Ph.D. with funding from the Government of India. The funding includes a monthly stipend and an annual research grant for up to 5 years of their Ph.D. program.

ASEAN PhD Fellowship from Government of India is available to undertake PhD level programs at India Universities.

Scholarship Benefits:

Each student will receive a monthly stipend - INR 31,000/- for the first two years, INR 35,000/- for the next three years. Study grant up to INR 170,000/- is provided for research expenses such as travel, books, contingency expenses.

Eligible Nationalities:

(countries from where students are eligible to apply) : ASEAN (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam)

Eligibility Criteria:

Default ASEAN PhD Fellowship Academic score Requirement = 6/10 or 60% (calculated proportionally for other scales). Default ASEAN PhD Fellowship English Test Requirement: No English Language Certification Requirement

Application Procedure:

Candidates who wish to apply for ASEAN PhD Fellowship Program need to apply online at our portal. During this process you can choose the specific programme and also define which of the 23 IITs you want to study at. The respective IIT will screen your application, shortlist you and interview you online. Then the institutes announce their offers of admission, including the waitlist. If you are selected for multiple programmes, you will need to decide which programme to pursue and then the final accepted student details are reported on the portal.
