Australia :PhD scholarships Programme in Polymer Chemistry

The University of Queensland’s is inviting applications for PhD scholarships in Polymer Chemistry for Domestic and International Students in Australia. International applicants must meet the University of Queensland’s English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements. Applicants will receive stipend at the rate of AUD $25,392 per annum (2014 rate) tax-free for three years with the possibility of a six month extension in approved circumstances. The application deadline is 24 Oct 2014.

• Scholarship will be awarded in the field of synthesis of new polymers and polymer nanostructures for drug and vaccine delivery, high strength coatings, membranes, stem cell scaffolds. The applicant must have a very good undergraduate record in Chemistry.

Eligibility:
-The Monteiro group is seeking high-quality chemistry graduates with either Honours (1st or 2A Class) or a Masters equivalent to commence a PhD in the above areas. The applicant must have a very good undergraduate record in Chemistry.
- The candidate will have a 1st Class Honours degree or equivalent in chemistry and should be eligible for an Australian Postgraduate Award (APA) or University of Queensland Research Scholarship (UQRS) or equivalent
-At least 2 high quality research publications;
-Excellent academic performance evidenced by a high Grade Point Average (GPA); and
-International applicants must meet the University of Queensland’s English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements
