Scholarship Description:

The fellowships and stipends provided by the Bayer Foundation are designed to provide outstanding young individuals with exceptional opportunities to develop crucial skills, broaden their horizons, and establish important connections worldwide. The foundation aims to enable these talented individuals to make a positive impact on the world and become tomorrow's game-changers.

The foundation places equity and collaboration at the center of its fellowship programs and offers a diverse range of opportunities to support various individuals. These include fellowships for young scientists from all over the world, opportunities for teachers, apprentices, and young professionals in scientific fields, as well as physicians. Furthermore, the foundation also provides support for young women with families pursuing careers in academia.

The Bayer Foundation provides three types of fellowships to exceptional master's, PhD, and medical students who wish to undertake international research projects, internships, and other related activities. These fellowships are intended to augment existing study programs by providing additional financial assistance for international placements that complement their current or future scientific studies.

The Otto Bayer Fellowships in Drug Discovery are available to master's or PhD students from all scientific fields, including pharmacy and data science, with research interests relevant to the pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare industries.

The Jeff Schell Fellowships for Agricultural Science are open to master's or PhD students from all scientific disciplines, including data science, with fundamental or applied studies relevant to the Crop Science industry.

Finally, the Carl Duisberg Fellowships for Medical Sciences are available to students of human and veterinary medicine, as well as master's and PhD students in medical engineering, applied medical sciences, data science in medicine, and public health.

Eligible Nationalities:

Open to international students.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants are eligible for up to 10,000€ in funding and can undertake fellowships for between 2 weeks and six months. People studying in Germany must undertake placements in second country & those studying outside Germany must undertake their fellowships at a German research institution
