The Business School affiliated to the Dartmouth College is known as the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. This School of Business is also popularly referred to as – Tuck School of Business or simply as Tuck. Tuck School of Business is located at Hanover in New Hampshire in USA and originated in the year 1900. Due to its very old history, Tuck School of Business is regarded as one of the oldest and most respected graduate business schools in the world and perhaps the first business school to have introduced the Master level degree program in Business administration. Tuck School of business is part of the Ivy League business schools. Tuck School of Business got its name from Amos Tuck, father of Edward Tuck, a wealthy banker who donated a substantial amount to establish the School. Tuck School of Business is located on the Dartmouth College campus in New England Town, Hanover. Tuck School of business on an average enrolls 500 MBA students per year and has 46 full time faculty and 8400 living alumni strength. The school of business offers only the two-year full time Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree program to its students. Apart from the MBA degree there are many short courses on executive education and many dual degrees with other related schools. MBA students at Tuck School of Business have to undertake a thirty two week core curriculum in general management during their first year and have to do a project work later. Second year students have to take twelve elective courses and design their own study plans. Tuck School of Business is residential in nature with many residential facilities inside the campus – Whittenmore Hall, Achtmeyer Hall, Pineau Valencienne Hall, Raether Hall etc. The School of Business also has the Murdough Center which houses the Feldberg Business and Engineering Library. There are atleast seven joint degree programs offered by Tuck school of business with other related Schools, they are – MBA-MA in Law and Diplomacy with Tufts University, MBA-MPA with Harvard University, MBA-MS in Environmental Law with Vermont Law School, MBA-MA with John Hopkins University, MBA-MD along with the Dartmouth Medical School, MBA-MPH with Dartmouth’s Clinical Sciences Center and MBA-Master of Engineering Management (MEM) with Thayer School of Engineering. Other programs offered by the School of Business include – the Tuck Business Bridge Program for undergraduate students and the Leadership Education and Development program aimed at high school students. Tuck School of Business doesn’t offer any part time MBA programs or PhD degree programs. The School of Business doesn’t have any minimum GMAT or GRE score requirements for admission.
