McCann School of Business and Technology was established in 1897 in Pennsylvania as a school of Accountancy and Secretarial training. The School of Business and Technology was founded by Louis McCann and during its initial years the school was located in Mahanoy city in Pennsylvania. McCann School of Business and Technology is a for-profit private junior business and technical college. Currently it is located in Northeastern and North central Pennsylvania in USA. The School of Business and Technology caters to the educational needs in post secondary education. McCann School of Business & Technology was first accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the Association of Independent Colleges and Schools of Washington D.C, in the year 1970. The School of Business and Technology has campuses in – Hazelton, Sunbury, Pottsville, Allentown, Carlisle and Dickson City. The academic programs on offer by the McCann School of Business and Technology include a wide variety of Associate degree programs and Diploma programs. Associate degree is offered in the following fields – Business Administration, Accounting, Administrative Office Technology, Criminal justice, Network administration, Paralegal, Security and investigation, early childhood education, cosmetology, computer science and programming, medical assisting, health and medical records management etc. The Diploma Programs offered by the McCann School of Business and Technology include the following – Accounting Assistant, Human Resources Management, Hospitality Management, Clinical Medical Assistant, Computer Office Support, Electrical technology, Commercial and Industrial Maintenance Technician, Computer Programming Technology, Cosmetology, Medical billing and coding, Medical Office Assistant, Office assistant, Microcomputer Applications, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical technology etc. To reduce the financial burden of the students, McCann School has a good scholarship and financial aid plan in place. The two scholarships on offer by the school include – Presidential Scholarship for five and Academic excellence scholarship for three students. To get admission to the programs offered by the McCann School of Business and Technology, the candidates must be high school graduates from any good accredited high school. In all other cases, GED equivalency must be submitted. Personal interviews are mandatory for each degree course offered by the school.  Along with the personal level interview, the candidates also have to attend a Scholastic level exam to assess their academic needs and ability grouping.
