Responsibilities
Cheddar is looking for a creative and driven Newsroom Intern to assist production teams with live news coverage and guest segments. The candidate will have a strong passion for news and journalism. Knowledge of general news, with a focus on tech, media, business, and consumer trends is necessary, along with a broad cultural awareness and an instinct for what's trending. The candidate must also have strong writing skills, be able to work in a high-pressure environment and produce under tight deadlines. They must be adaptable, flexible, and team players.
Responsibilities:
• Assist producers with daily duties such as story idea generation and guest pre-production
• Participate in control room tasks such as teleprompter, audio, and element checks
• Participate in social media and achieve an active rapport with viewers
• Focus on learning all aspects of how a newsroom operations
Qualifications
• Excellent research and writing skills
• Strong grammar, copy editing, and communication skills
• Organization skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
