USC Marshall – Marshall School Of Business

The Business School established under the University of Southern California is known as USC Marshall School of Business, located at Los Angeles, in CA, USA. Marshall School of Business is a private educational establishment and is the largest among the University’s other professional Schools. The School was renamed Marshall School of Business in the year 1997 after its alumnus Gordon Marshall donated $35 million towards the development of the School.  Historically, the School of Business was established in the year 1920 as the College of Commerce and Business Administration. Marshall School of Businessenrolls approximately 3500 undergraduate students and 1700 post graduates. The School also supports nearly 60 doctoral students and 180 academic staff. The School of Management has nearly 70000 alumni base around the globe and Marshall School of Business is accredited by AACSB. The Academic programs on offer by the Marshall School of Business include – undergraduate programs in Accounting and business administration, graduate programs such as full time MBA degree, part time MBA program for professionals and managers, Executive MBA, EMBA in Shanghai, IBEAR MBA program, Master of Accounting and Master of Business Taxation degree for general students and also for working professionals. Apart from these the School of Business also offers many executive education programs, certificate programs and the PhD degree program. The full time MBA degree at Marshall School of Business includes the PRIME program which is a compulsory trip to Pacific Rim Countries and companies therein. The part time MBA for professional managers is a thirty three months program which can be completed over a five year period.  Here also students are required to take PM Globe course which requires them to take a weeklong trip to Pacific Rim Countries. The part time MBA-PM program can be taken at – University’s Los Angeles campus or the campus at Irvine. Executive MBA program can be taken at the satellite campus of the School at San Diego. The Global Executive MBA program is offered along with Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China. The Global Executive MBA program is a twenty one month program for working professionals. The IBEAR MBA program is a twelve month full time international business education and research program for middle level managers. The Marshall School of Management has the following academic departments – Finance and Business Economics, Information and Operations Management, Marketing, Management and Organization, Management Communication and Entrepreneurial Studies.
