Canada McGill University Undergraduate Entrance Scholarships 2018 is open for International Students . The scholarship allows Undergraduate level program(s) in the field of taught at McGill University . The deadline of the scholarship is .

Scholarship Description: The McGill University is proud to offer two type of scholarships i.e. One-year entrance scholarships. These scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of academic achievement and Major entrance scholarships.


Entrance Scholarships are awarded to students entering McGill University for the first time to undertake their first full-time undergraduate degree program. Transfer, Mature, Diploma, Exchange, Special, Part-time and Visiting students are not eligible for consideration.


Scholarship Provider: McGill University is a public research university in Canada. McGill offers degrees and diplomas in over 300 fields of study, with the highest average admission requirements of any Canadian university.


Degree Level: Scholarships are available to pursue undergraduate prgramme.


Available Subject: Scholarships are awarded to learn any of the courses offered by the university.


Scholarship Benefits: Awards range in value from $3,000 to $10,000. There are two types of entrance scholarships: the One-year, whereby eligibility is based solely on academic achievement, and the renewable Major, based on outstanding academic achievement as well as leadership qualities in school and community activities.


Eligible Nationalities: International Students are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.


Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible for this scholarship you must meet the following requirements:


Competition for entrance scholarships is intense at McGill. An extraordinary number of exceptional applications are received each year and, unfortunately, we cannot award scholarships to all good candidates.


To provide some guidance to scholarship hopefuls, the proposed academic standings of scholarship awardees for this upcoming fall term are listed in the table below. Some program-specific scholarships may have lower minima.

Quebec CEGEP MINIMUM overall cote de rendement collégial (CRC) to be determined
Canadian High School (outside Quebec and Ontario) MINIMUM 95% average on all academic grade 12 and grade 11 level courses
Ontario High School MINIMUM 95% overall average on all 3U, 3M, 4U and 4M courses
United States High School MINIMUM A average (at least 94% or GPA of 4.00, or equivalent unweighted) over last two years of full-time studies, and a minimum score of 700 in each SAT (730 on the new SAT) or 33 in the ACT. For changes to SAT scoring, please consult the McGill Enrolment Services’ website.
Overseas High School MINIMUM A average (or equivalent) over last two years of full-time study
Advanced Levels MINIMUM of 4 relevant Advanced-Level/CAPE/Pre-University subjects with minimum predicted grades of A*AAA (or equivalent) or minimum final grades of AAAA (or equivalent), plus AS results and GCSE/O-Level results at a similar level.
Exceptions: Countries where grade A* is not awarded (Caribbean CAPE,  Scotland Advanced Highers, Singapore A-Levels) will be considered on A (and equivalent) grades.
International Baccalaureate 41 subject points (not including bonus points) on predicted or final grades
French Baccalaureate MINIMUM overall average of 17, with minimum score of 14 in each course

Note: when class rank is available, it should be provided. Rank in the top 1 – 2% is expected.


The above is the PROPOSED scholarship minima for this upcoming fall term. It is possible that the minima may be lower if we should have more scholarship funds to disburse. It is also possible that the minima could be higher should we attract a greater number of qualified applicants. Please note: even if you meet the standings above, you are not guaranteed a scholarship.


Scholarship decisions are made during the admission process and are based on academic information available at that time. There is no reconsideration on additional or final results.


English Language Requirements: Applicants must have a very good knowledge of written and spoken English is required; this should be supported by a valid English proficiency test certificate.
