The CAS-ANSO Scholarship (Degree Program) 2025, one of the premier international initiatives, offers aspiring researchers and students from around the world the opportunity to pursue advanced education and research in China. Managed by the Alliance of National and International Science Organizations (ANSO), this program aims to develop scientific talent to address global challenges, foster innovation, and promote sustainable development. For 2025, applications are open for both Master’s and PhD scholarships at top-tier Chinese institutions such as the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and the University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS).
Founded in 2019, the CAS-ANSO Scholarship was launched to nurture the next generation of scientists through fully funded postgraduate programs. With CAS as the primary sponsor, the scholarship supports over 500 students annually, offering both Master’s and PhD tracks. In 2022, ANSO also introduced the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship to provide targeted support to students from developing countries and least developed countries (LDCs), as well as to promote the inclusion of women in science.
The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and UNESCO offer additional financial assistance to PhD scholars under this specialized category, making the program highly inclusive and impactful for participants from the Global South.
