Entry requirements

To apply for the Atmosphere & Energy program, applicants must meet the following general requirements:

  • Submit either the Coalition Application or the Common Application
  • Pay a nonrefundable application fee of $100 or request a fee waiver
  • Provide ACT or SAT scores (the optional Writing/Essay component is not required; adhere to Stanford’s score reporting policies)
  • Include a school report and a letter of recommendation from a school counselor
  • Submit official transcript(s)
  • Provide letters of recommendation from two teachers
  • Send a midyear transcript
