Applicants are required to submit either the Coalition Application or the Common Application along with a nonrefundable application fee. Standardized test scores from the ACT or SAT are also required, although the writing/essay portion is not necessary. Additional materials include school reports, official transcripts, letters of recommendation from two teachers, and midyear transcripts. Stanford employs a holistic review process, meaning all components of the application are considered without minimum score requirements for standardized tests.
