The Educational Mental Health Practitioner (EMHP) course at the University of Southampton is designed to equip students with the skills necessary to provide low-intensity, evidence-based mental health support for children and young people in educational settings. Entry requirements

To be eligible for the EMHP course, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of a Lower Second Class (2:2) degree in any subject.
• Experience working or volunteering with children and young people in a mental health context.
• Professional experience in relevant areas, such as education or mental health.

Applicants must apply for the trainee EMHP role, which includes arrangements with an MHST employer, rather than applying directly for the course.
