Academic background

  • General: A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) is necessary.
  • Behavioural Neuroscience track: Bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or a related field.
  • Cognitive Neuroscience track: Bachelor’s degree in Psychobiology, (Cognitive/Biological) Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
  • Cognitive Science track: Bachelor’s degree in (Cognitive) Psychology, Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence, Linguistics, Philosophy, or a related field.
  • Alternative degrees: Candidates with different Bachelor’s degrees may be considered if they possess a sufficient academic foundation in neuroscience and/or cognitive sciences.

Minimum GPA (or equivalent)

  • At least 3.0 (American system)
  • At least 2.1 (British system: second class upper/division one)
  • At least 7.5 (Dutch EC-system)

English language proficiency

  • TOEFL iBT: minimum 92 (or an accepted equivalent, if applicable)
