Overview

Entry requirements
Academic requirements
- A minimum of a lower second-class honours degree (or equivalent) in a subject related to secondary education and mathematics.
English language requirements
- IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall (with minimum scores in each component as specified by the university).
- TOEFL iBT: 89 (specific section scores may be required).
- Oxford Test of English (OTE): 130.
Other requirements
- GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics at Grade 4 (or above) — or an equivalent qualification. (For GCSEs taken prior to 2017, Grade C is accepted.)
- Evidence of qualifications is typically required prior to course commencement.
- Functional Skills and the Certificate in Adult Numeracy/Literacy are not accepted in lieu of GCSEs.
