DTU PhD Scholarship, Technical University of Denmark is offering a PhD scholarship for a project on Design and Modeling of Concentrated Solar Power Plants focusing on Dynamic Performances. Strong skills and a great interest in engineering thermodynamics are essential. Previous experience with numerical simulation work and programming is a great advantage. The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The period of employment is 3 years. The application deadline is September 6, 2015.

Study Subject: Scholarship is awarded in Design and Modeling of Concentrated Solar Power Plants focusing on Dynamic Performances.
Degree Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing PhD research program at DTU Mechanical Engineering.

Eligibility: Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to the master’s degree in engineering. Strong skills and a great interest in engineering thermodynamics are essential. Previous experience with numerical simulation work and programming is a great advantage. Moreover, previous experiences with thermodynamic modelling of concentrated solar power plants and dynamic performance modelling are considered additional qualifications. Applicants must have great analytical skills and the ability to work independently towards the research goals. Furthermore, fluency in speaking, reading and writing English is important.
