Save The Children Innovation Internship

This intern will learn about the dynamic innovation space as they conduct research on emerging innovation trends and upcoming innovation conferences. They will build skills around knowledge management as they develop and launch internal events and communications pieces. This intern will also gain project management experience as they support management of the innovation intranet site and the Innovation Accelerator process.

What You’ll be Doing (Essential Duties & Responsibilities)

  • Support the development of our knowledge management strategy and then implement it.
  • Develop landscape analysis of current and future innovation trends and conferences
  • Organize internal capacity-building events
  • Develop and share internal communications pieces from the innovation team
  • Develop and manage our innovation page on Save the Children's intranet site
  • Support management of the Innovation Accelerator process
  • Lead ad hoc administrative projects as needed

Required Qualifications 

  • Must be an actively enrolled Associate, Bachelor, Master or other post high school education program, or have graduated within 6 months of program start date
  • Professional proficiency in spoken and written English,
  • Demonstrate collaborative interpersonal skills and ability to work successfully within a team
  • Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest in research and analysis
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Reliable and willing to work unsupervised in a self-directed setting
  • Possess solid interpersonal skills with ability to work within a team
