Chulalongkorn University Scholarships for the year 2024-2025 are fully funded/partially funded scholarships designed exclusively for international students. These scholarships are specifically available for master's and Ph.D. programs. Successful applicants will enjoy comprehensive benefits, including full tuition fee coverage, a monthly stipend, and accommodation support amounting to 16,000 Baht.


Chulalongkorn University has assumed a pivotal role in promoting interactive collaboration with the global community. To further enhance academic partnerships between Thailand and foreign nations, the university has initiated the "Graduate Scholarship Program for ASEAN and Non-ASEAN Countries." This program aims to provide financial assistance to international students aspiring to pursue their graduate studies at Chulalongkorn University.






Scholarship Conditions:



  1. The scholarship's duration cannot be prolonged or extended.



  2. Once the University has awarded the scholarship, recipients are not permitted to postpone or defer the period of scholarship acceptance.



  3. Scholarship recipients are prohibited from engaging in any external or off-campus employment within Thailand during the scholarship's tenure.

Scholarship Benefits:

The Bangkok Government Scholarships offer recipients the following provisions:

  1. Tuition fees are covered; however, any additional fees or special charges imposed by the faculty or program chosen by the students are not included. Any such charges require prior arrangements between the students and the respective faculty/program.

  2. A monthly allowance of 16,000 Baht is provided, along with accommodation support.

  3. For students from African countries, the airfare for each leg should not exceed 20,000 Baht, and for students from Asian countries, it should not exceed 12,000 Baht. Students are responsible for purchasing their tickets, and the reimbursement of this amount will be facilitated upon their arrival at Chulalongkorn University.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to international students.

Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for Chulalongkorn University Scholarships, candidates must adhere to the following eligibility criteria:

  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required.

  • Eligible Countries: The scholarship is open to applicants from all countries worldwide.

  • Notably, students from both ASEAN and Non-ASEAN countries who have previously enrolled in any program at Chulalongkorn University for more than one semester are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

  • Academic Achievement: Applicants should have achieved a minimum grade point average (GPA) of no less than 2.75 during their undergraduate studies and not lower than 3.25 for their graduate studies.

  • Language Proficiency Tests: A minimum TOEFL score of 500 or an equivalent score of 173 on the computer-based test, along with an IELTS score of 5.0, is mandatory.

  • Age Limit: Applicants should not exceed the age of 35.

  • Preference is given to faculty members, researchers, and academic staff who commit to returning to teach or work at their home universities after completing their studies at Chulalongkorn University.

Application Procedure:

To apply for Chulalongkorn University Scholarships, please follow the steps below:

  1. Begin by selecting your desired international program on the official university website.

  2. Complete the application form.

  3. Applicants should submit the fully filled application form, along with the required documents, directly to the faculty or program of their choice. This should be done before the university's Office of Academic Affairs' specified deadline.

  4. Candidates must undergo screening and selection by the faculty or program they have applied to before their names are forwarded to the Chulalongkorn University Office of Academic Affairs.

  5. All pertinent application documents, which have undergone screening by the faculty or program, must reach the Office of Academic Affairs by the stated deadline.

  6. The list of successful applicants will be announced on the academic.chula.ac.th website.

Required Documents:

  • Applicants must provide proof of having completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field relevant to the program they are applying for. This includes submitting a degree certificate with their application.

  • An official academic transcript from the last academic institution attended is required.

  • A completed application form, complete with a 1-inch photograph attached.

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume.

  • A valid passport.

  • Two letters of recommendation from the head, director, or dean of the applicant's affiliated institution, or from their superiors.

  • A medical report, confirming a physical examination conducted at a hospital in the applicant's home country.
