Scholarship Description:

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for international Masters 2024-26, Europe. (Fully Funded) is open for International Students . The scholarship allows Masters level program(s) in the field of Technology, policy and management, Science taught at University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, Abo Akademi University, University of Oviedo . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 31 Jan 2024.

The IMATEC program, which is part of the Erasmus Mundus Multiple Degree Program, is designed to provide education in the fields of circular economy and bio-economy, which are rapidly growing areas. This two-year program provides top-notch professional training by combining skills in technology, entrepreneurship, management, planning, science, and research, all of which are centered around circular economy..
The students will receive instruction in cutting-edge technologies that promote the responsible use of natural resources, evaluating the life cycle of such technologies, and handling the legal and administrative issues involved in implementing circular economy practices. Additionally, they will be introduced to the newest developments in technology research and development.

The students will be able to select their main area of study from three options: Technology, Policy and Management, or Science, and will also choose one additional area to study. After completing the program, graduates will be equipped to work in a variety of roles, such as technology suppliers, consultants, or utilities in the private sector, governmental agencies or NGOs in policy-making bodies, or in academia or the private sector in research and development. They will also develop presentation and managerial skills, the ability to work effectively in teams, utilize information resources, and communicate effectively with both professionals and the general public.

The Erasmus Mundus consortium is made up of three European universities - the University of Chemistry and Technology Prague in the Czech Republic, the University of Oviedo in Spain, and Åbo Akademi University in Finland. These universities are supported by 38 associated partners, including SMEs, large companies, NGOs, and universities, all of whom play important roles in the curriculum. The goal of this consortium is to create a cohesive study program focused on technologies and management for the circular economy that integrates existing programs, and provides a globally appealing and current Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) program that showcases European higher education excellence. The program addresses the ongoing shift from a linear economy to a circular economy, which is essential to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and is reflected in the EU's development strategies, including the European Green Deal and the EU action plan for the Circular Economy.

The Joint Erasmus Mundus programme IMATEC aims to educate a new generation of engineers, managers, and scientists that can provide adequate and state-of-the-art environmental technology and engineering solutions which can be realistically implemented to tackle complex, multidisciplinary environmental issues.

Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for international Masters 2024-26, Europe. (Fully Funded) is available to undertake Masters level programs at University of Chemistry and Technology Prague, Abo Akademi University, University of Oviedo.

Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship covers the following costs:

  • The students’ participation costs: tuition fee, library and laboratory costs, and any other mandatory costs related to the student’s participation in the Master study programme;
  • An allowance of 1400 EUR per month for subsistence, student travel, and accommodation costs for the entire 2 years duration of the study programme.

The total of 16 places are reserved for non-scholarship holders from Partner Countries. Non-scholarship holders are covering living costs and other related costs at their own expense. The tuition fee at all partner universities is waived for non-scholarship holders.

The total of 20 places are reserved for self-payers from Programme & Partner Countries. Self-payers are covering the tuition fees at all partner universities, living costs and other related costs at their own expense.

Please consider that travel costs from your home country to the Czech Republic shall be fully covered by your resources.
The monthly allowance will be paid only after your physical arrival in the Czech Republic and after you open a Czech bank account.
