Global Scholarship Program at Catholic University of Korea, South Korea



Applications are invited for Global Scholarship Program for undergraduates at the Catholic University of Korea. International (Non-Korean) students can apply for this scholarship program.It promotes Swiss excellence in science, technology and education and Switzerland’s young creative entrepreneurs in Korea.The Republic of Korea is one of the leading global research nations. From its humble beginnings in the 1960s as a poor nation until today, Korea has made impressive progress in quality of research. Korea is now a globally leading R&D power in areas of industrial research (IT, communication, transport, civil engineering). The Korean Government also invests heavily in R&D and its numerous public research institutes and universities constantly improve.Applicants must have official language score: English-None Score (From Fall Semester 2016, all applicants must have a Korean language score only). Applicants should meet one of these criteria: -TOPIK Level 4 (in case of Level 3, applicants must obtain Level 4 before graduation).



Degree Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing undergraduate degree level at Catholic University of Korea.



Subject Offered: Applicants will be interested in catholic education and Korean studies.

Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this scholarship:




  • The applicant must be a non-Korean (both parents included) applying as a first-time freshmen (undergraduate admission).

  • Those who are currently studying in South Korea will not be eligible to apply.

  • Must be a residence at their home country.



Eligible Nationalities: International (Non-Korean) students can apply for this Global Scholarship Program.



College Admission Requirement



Entrance Requirements: In order to be eligible applicants must be ranking academically in the top 10% of the high school graduates of one’s high school.



English language Requirements: Official Language Score: English: None Score -From Fall Semester 2016, all applicants must have a Korean language score only, Korean. Applicants should meet one of these criteria: -TOPIK Level 4 (in case of Level 3, applicants must obtain Level 4 before graduation).



Supporting Material: In addition to the application for the scholarship, the applicant must submit the following documents:-




  • Korean Application Packet LIST (Use Korean only)>

  •  CUK Application Form

  • CUK Academic Record Sheet Form

  • CUK High School Academic Record Sheet Form

  • Letter of consent

  • Academic Financial Support Form

  • High School Diploma (or Certification of Expected Graduation)

  • The document must have authentication issued by ‘Apostille (www.apostilleglobal.com)’ or an authentication seal stamped by the Embassy at your home country.

  • Official High School Academic Transcript -The document must have authentication issued by ‘Apostille (www.apostilleglobal.com)’ or an authentication seal stamped by the Embassy at your home country.

  • Family Relation Certificate -The document must have authentication issued by ‘Apostille(www.apostilleglobal.com)’ or an authentication seal stamped by the Embassy at your home country.

  • Korean Official Language Proficiency Test Score

  • Letter Of Recommendation – Recommendation letter by the high school principal (Mandatory) -Recommendation from a Catholic official or Diplomatic Office (Optional)

  • GSP Application Form (can write it in Korean)

  • Copy Of Passport -Must submit copies for all the people listed on ‘?Family Relation Certificate’.(For family members, official identification card is acceptable.)



Scholarship Award: The scholarship programs for non-Korean students include:




  • Tuition of 4 years of undergraduate program (along with waived admission fee)

  • Monthly living expense of KRW 250,000

  • Free stay to a 4-person dormitory

  • during the time of study and completion of a 4-year term undergraduate degree.
