Scholarship Description:

Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) 2024.(Fully Funded) is open for International Students . The scholarship allows Masters, PhD level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Ireland Universities . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 13 Mar 2024.

Scholarship Benefits:

What's Included in the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship:

    Stipend:

    • A stipend of €10,000 is provided for one year of full-time study at the master's or Ph.D. level.

      Fee Waiver:

      • The host higher education institutions are required to grant a full fee waiver for the scholarship recipients for the duration of their scholarship.

        Study Commencement:

        • Successful scholars are expected to commence their studies in either September or October 2024.

        Eligible Nationalities:

        • International Students of all nationalities can apply for this scholarship. (Except EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom)
        • Russian and Belarussian nationals are not eligible to apply due to the continued aggression of Russia in Ukraine.

        About the Scholarship:

        The Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship (GOI-IES) initiative aims to assist exceptional international students pursuing master's or Ph.D. studies in Ireland. This program is a collaborative effort between the Government of Ireland and Irish higher education institutions, overseen by the Higher Education Authority. Annually, 60 scholarships are granted to individuals undertaking one year of full-time master's or Ph.D. studies. The scholarship is available for applicants across all academic disciplines.

        Eligibility Criteria:

        To qualify for the Government of Ireland International Education Scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

          Domicile Requirement:

          • Applicants must have a domiciliary of origin outside the EU/EEA/Switzerland/United Kingdom.

            Admission to Relevant Program:

            • Candidates must apply for admission to a relevant master’s or Ph.D. program offered by an eligible higher education institution, following the institution's admission procedures.

              Conditional or Final Offer of Admission:

              • Applicants must have a conditional or final offer of admission to the higher education institution at the time of application. A copy of the offer letter confirming placement as an international fee-paying student must be submitted.

                Program Enrollment:

                • The offer letter must indicate that the student has been offered a place on a full-time program as an international fee-paying student.

                  Note: Ensure compliance with the specific admission and eligibility requirements of the chosen higher education institution.

                  • Potential applicants should carefully read the call documentation to confirm their eligibility for the scholarship.

                    Application Form:

                    • An indicative version of the application form is provided for information purposes. The actual applications must be submitted via the online portal.

                      References:

                      • All applications require two references to be uploaded through the online portal.

                        Submission Recommendations:

                        • It is recommended that candidates submit their applications well before the deadline to avoid technical issues due to heavy server traffic. Once the deadline passes, no further submissions can be made, and no alterations can be made to the application.

                        Assessment Process:

                        Applicants are expected to demonstrate the following:

                        • Record of outstanding academic achievement.
                        • Excellent communication skills.
                        • Evidence of participation in extracurricular activities such as humanitarian work, politics, arts, or sports.
                        • A strong rationale for pursuing study in Ireland, aligning with their longer-term goals and indicating how the scholarship supports these goals.

                        The assessment process involves:

                        1. Institutional Review:

                          • Applications are shared with higher education institutions for eligibility checks and shortlisting based on alignment with institutional objectives.
                        2. Independent Panel Assessment:

                          • Shortlisted applications are assessed by an independent panel of international assessors.

                        Key Dates:
