Scholarship Description:

His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Doctoral Program is open for Students from asian countries. The scholarship allows PhD level program(s) in the field of taught at Asian Institute of Technology . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 29 Dec 2019.

This scholarship is granted to qualified candidates with excellent undergraduate (Bachelor degree) and graduate (Master degree) achievements to pursue their Doctoral programs in any Academic Program offered at School of Engineering and Technology (SET) and School of Environment, Resources, and Development (SERD) from the following priority countries supported by the Government of Thailand.

1) Bhutan and Timor-Leste
2) ASEAN countries
3) Other Asian countries

His Majesty the King’s Scholarships for Doctoral Program is available to undertake PhD level programs at Asian Institute of Technology.

Available Subjects:

Following subject are available to study under this scholarship program.

    Scholarship Benefits:

    Each scholarship award covers tuition, registration fees, accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT's residential campus, for the entire period of the 41 months (7 semesters) duration for Ph.D. program.

    Eligible Nationalities:

    Students from the following priority countries supported by the Government of Thailand.

    1) Bhutan and Timor-Leste
    2) ASEAN countries
    3) Other Asian countries

    Eligibility Criteria:

    Applicants must meet the following criteria:

    • Have an outstanding education record in a 4-year undergraduate program from an accredited institution in related fields;
    • Two recommendation letters;
    • Research proposal;
    • Have a high proficiency in English as required by AIT (Applicants can also take the AIT English Test administered by the AIT Language Center);
    • cGPA for Bachelor’s degree
    > 2.75 (or equivalent) from the universities listed in QS 1,000 World University Ranking or QS Top 350 Asian Universities Ranking or
    > 3.0 (or equivalent) from other universities
    • cGPA for Master’s degree > 3.5 (or equivalent)
