Scholarship Description:

Holland - Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (H-ZES) 2022 is open for Domestic Students . The scholarship allows Undergraduate, Graduate level programm(s) in the field of European Studies, Hospitality Management, International Business Management, Music Interdisciplinary Arts Interior Architecture taught at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 30 Apr 2022.

The Zuyd University of Applied Sciences is offering Zuyd Excellence Scholarships to assist students. This scholarship is offered on the comparison of the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship.  Applicants from Holland will be assessed on an individual basis. Students will be monitored on the basis of their academic excellence.

Holland - Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (H-ZES) 2022 is available to undertake Undergraduate, Graduate level programs at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences.

Following subject are available to study under this scholarship program.

• European Studies
• Hospitality Management
• International Business Management
• Music

Scholarship Benefits:

This scholarship is awarded in the form of a Holland Scholarship amount of € 5000 in the first year and a Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (max. € 3600 net discount on your tuition fee) for the rest of the nominal duration of your study.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for a Holland - Zuyd Excellence Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: 

• You do not have an EU/EEA nationality, or the nationality of Switzerland or Suriname.
• You have received your Zuyd student number through Studielink.
• You meet the specific requirements of the study program.
• You are required to pay the highest institutional tuition fees.
• You live in the Netherlands during your study period.
• You have never cut short a Zuyd program without obtaining a degree.
• You have not previously obtained a degree from an education facility in the Netherlands. (Please note that this condition only applies for the Holland Scholarship, if you do not meet this criterion, you can still apply for the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship)
• You are applying to start one of the following government-funded, fully English taught programs:
  • European Studies
  • Hospitality (Hotel) Management
  • Interdisciplinary Arts
  • International Business
  • Music (Bachelor and Master)
  • Interior Architecture

Please note that applicants that qualify but are not selected for the Holland – Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (H-ZES) will automatically be considered for the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (ZES) after the 1st of June.

You application must include:

• A completed and signed Holland - Zuyd Excellence Scholarship Application Form 
• A personal letter of motivation for wanting to study at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences 
• One letter of reference by e.g. a lecturer or a mentor of your current educational institution 
• Your curriculum vitae (resume)

Your letter of motivation (max. 1 page A4) must include the following items:

• Why have you chosen this particular study programme at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences
• What value you expect this study programme to add to your previous education
• What you expect this study programme to contribute to your future career

The letter of reference should be signed, dated and submitted on official stationary and must include:

• Your name and the name, position and department of the referee of your current educational institution 
• Description of the applicant’s excellent academic abilities and competencies.
