Scholarship Description:

The Holland-Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (H-ZES) is a type of scholarship that combines two different scholarships, with a higher amount given in the first year compared to the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship. In the initial year, the scholarship is worth €5000 as a Holland Scholarship, and for the remainder of the program's nominal duration, it is worth a Zuyd Excellence Scholarship (up to €3600 net discount on tuition fees). Students who are awarded the Holland-Zuyd Excellence Scholarship must maintain a minimum of 45 credits per academic year to be eligible for renewal of the scholarship for the following year. It is important to note that the scholarship application process is evaluated on an individual basis and is subject to availability. Scholarship renewals only apply to the nominal duration of the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for a Holland - Zuyd Excellence Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria: 

  • You do not have a EU/EEA nationality, or the nationality of Switzerland or Suriname.
  • You have received your Zuyd student number through Studielink.
  • You meet the specific requirements of the study programme.
  • You are required to pay the highest institutional tuition fees.
  • You live in the Netherlands during your study period.
  • You have never cut short a Zuyd programme without obtaining a degree.
  • You have not previously obtained a degree from an education facility in the Netherlands. (Please note that this condition only applies for the Holland Scholarship, if you do not meet this criteria, you can still apply for the Zuyd Excellence Scholarship)
  • You are applying to start one of the following government funded, fully English taught programmes:
    • European Studies
    • Hospitality (Hotel) Management
    • Interdisciplinary Arts
    • International Business
    • Music (Bachelor and Master)
    • Interior Architecture
