Scholarship Description: The University of Cambridge is offering Graduate Applicant Scholarships for the academic year 2018-2019. These prestigious scholarships for UK, EU and international students to support graduate study based at Jesus College.


About Jesus College: The Jesus College is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge, England. The college’s full name is The College of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Saint John the Evangelist and the glorious Virgin Saint Radegund, near Cambridge.

Scholarship Benifits:
Humanities and Social Sciences: The Albert Goh and Elizabeth Coupe Scholarship: – £4000 for a one year course; One year Masters applicant in the Humanities or Social Sciences
History: The Gurnee Hart Scholarship – Up to £5,000 for a one year course; One year Masters in History or historical studies
Physical Sciences and Technology: The Embiricos Trust Scholarship – Up to £13,500 per academic year for 3 years maximum; First year PhD applicant in Physical Science, Engineering or Mathematics; Greek, Greek Cypriot or British nationality or descent
Classics: The John Killen Scholarship – £6,000 for a one year course; one year Masters applicant in Classics; Preference given to those with an interest in any of the following areas: the epigraphy and interpretation of Linear B, comparative philology, or the archaeology of Greece in the second millennium BC.


Eligible Nationalities: Scholarships are available for UK, EU and international students.



Application Procedure: If you’re applying from outside the EU, you will need to submit a Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA) as well as your UCAS application. There is also a small fee associated with international applications. The mode of applying is online. There are a number of pieces of information you’ll need to complete the COPA.




  • Your UCAS Personal ID number (please see FAQ ‘What is my UCAS Personal ID?’)

  • A passport style digital photograph of yourself.

  • Your BMAT registration number (if applicable).

  • Details of the qualifications you’re currently studying and/or have completed since age 11 (including UMS results/Percentage Uniform Marks (PUMs) if you’ve taken/are taking modular AS/A Levels).

  • A copy of the personal statement that you’ve included or intend to include in your UCAS application.

  • Contact details for your UCAS referee
    a. In the case of applicants with a COPA deadline earlier than 19 October, we’ll email your UCAS referee directly to obtain a copy of their reference along with predicted grades and ranking (ranking isn’t required for Organ Scholarship applicants). This information must reach us by no later than the relevant deadline, ie 1 September for Organ Scholarship applicants or 20 September for those applying to be considered for interview in China, Malaysia or Singapore. University uses the contact details for your UCAS referee you provide in your COPA to contact this person directly by email. University strongly recommends that you submit your COPA as early as possible to allow enough time for your referee to prepare and send us the required documents. Your COPA won’t be considered valid if the documents aren’t submitted by the set deadline.
    b. In the case of applicants applying for the 15 October UCAS deadline, the reference will be obtained from your UCAS application (we won’t email your UCAS referee separately).

  • Contact details for your musical referee (if you’re making an Organ Scholarship application). Please note that you must provide your referee with a completed declaration coversheet and ensure that your referee submits your musical ability reference by the appropriate deadline.
