University of York is offering Jonathan Bradshaw Postgraduate Scholarship for 2016-2017 acdemic year. International applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme. The University of York provides modern educational and research environments that will enable students and researchers to face current challenges and to focus on knowledge as a principle driving force for development. University of York wants to be a world leader in research; wants to offer outstanding teaching and learning; to offer all their students an outstanding and valuable experience. If applicants are a non-native English speaking applicant they must provide evidence of their English language ability. They need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course they are applying to.




  • Scholarship is available for pursuing Postgraduate programme (MA and MRes programmes).

  • Scholarship is awarded for following programme: MA in Social Policy, MRes Social Policy, MA in Comparative and International Social Policy, MA in Global Social Policy and MA in Global Crime and Justice.

  • The scholarship is worth £6,000 and is available to prospective students that study on a full time basis. All offer holders are eligible to apply for a scholarship. Overseas scholarship recipients would need to fund the remainder of their tuition fee through alternative funds.



Eligibility Criteria: Scholarship is available to applicants who meet all of the following criteria:




  • Have received an offer for one of the following programmes: MA inSocial Policy, MRes Social Policy, MA in Comparative and International Social Policy, MA in Global Social Policy and MA in Global Crime and Justice.

  • Begin your Masters studies in September 2016

  • Have or expect to obtain a first or upper second class honours degree or equivalent prior to commencing the Masters programme.

  • If English is not applicant’s first language they should also read the English Language requirements 2016/17 for postgraduate study for each department.



Eligible Nationalities: International applicants are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme.



Entrance Requirements:




  • Applicants have or expect to obtain a first or upper second class honours degree or equivalent prior to commencing the Masters programme.



English language Requirements:

Test Requirements: The following tests are accepted for entry into degree-level courses:




  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic)

  • Pearson Test of English (PTE) (Academic)

  • Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)

  • Cambridge Proficiency (CPE)

  • TOEFL iBT (internet based)

  • Trinity ISE.
