Graduate Admission Requirements at KFUPM: Master’s, PhD, and Scholarship Opportunities

1. Master’s Programs in Engineering and Sciences

• Academic Background: Applicants should hold a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field, such as engineering or sciences.
• GPA Requirement:
  1. Scholarship Applicants: A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  2. Non-Scholarship Applicants: A minimum GPA of 2.5 is required.
• English Language Proficiency: Applicants must demonstrate proficiency through one of the following scores:
  1. TOEFL (520 PBT, 190 CBT, 70 iBT)
  2. IELTS (minimum 6.0)
  3. Duolingo (minimum 105)
  Graduates of KFUPM or applicants from English-speaking countries are exempt from this requirement.
• Recommendation Letters: Two letters from faculty members who taught the applicant are required.
• Additional Departmental Requirements: Specific departments may have unique requirements, and meeting minimum criteria does not guarantee admission as decisions are based on application strength and program capacity.

2. MS in Business Administration

• Academic Background: A Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, or sciences is required.
• GPA Requirement: A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• English Language Proficiency: Minimum scores include:
  1. TOEFL (520 PBT, 190 CBT, 70 iBT)
  2. IELTS (minimum 6.0)
• GMAT Score: A minimum GMAT score of 450 is required.
• Additional Coursework: Candidates must have completed at least one calculus course (covering differentiation and integration) and demonstrate computer literacy.
• Work Experience: At least three years of full-time work experience is required, with possible exceptions for certain assistant positions or candidates with exceptional academic records.
• Recommendation Letters: Two letters of recommendation from faculty are required.

3. Master’s MX Program

• Academic Background: Applicants must hold a recognized Bachelor’s Degree.
• GPA Requirement: A minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
