Scholarship Description:

KWI International Fellowships 2023-24 is open for International Students . The scholarship allows Fellowship level program(s) in the field of Sociology, Cultural Sciences, Humanities taught at Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (KWI) . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 28 Feb 2023.

The KWI fellowship program is designed for outstanding scholars in the fields of humanities, cultural studies, and social sciences. It offers fellows access to modern facilities, office space, technical support, and library services, as well as assistance with event and research management and administrative and communication needs.

During the fellowship, fellows will have the chance to interact with a diverse group of scholars by joining the University Alliance Ruhr (UA Ruhr), which serves as the KWI's overarching structure and connects the universities of Duisburg-Essen, Bochum, and Dortmund.

Degree Level:

KWI International Fellowships 2023-24 is available to undertake Fellowship level programs at Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities (KWI).

Scholarship Benefits:

The fellowship is a contract-based, not a full-employment contract. The monthly allowance of 4,000 € (before tax) is intended to cover expenses such as rent, insurance, and living expenses. Travel expenses for coming to KWI and leaving after the fellowship may be partially reimbursed.

Eligible Nationalities:

This fellowship is open to students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria:

They are looking for research fellows who have earned a PhD and have up to six years of post-doctoral experience. The fellowships are open to applicants from all disciplines related to the KWI's current research agenda. The program is intended for international researchers, although German nationals who are currently working at an international institute are also eligible to apply.

• The application must be formulated in English and must contain a CV, a list of publications, a PhD
certificate, and a proposal sketching your KWI project (up to max. 5.000 characters).
• The application deadline is 28 February 2023, 24:00 (midnight, CET). We will not consider
applications that are incomplete or submitted after this date.
• The fellows will be selected by a committee assembling members of the KWI governing board and
the institute’s director.
