Scholarship Description:

Loom Nam Khong Pijai (GMS Scholarships) for Master’s Program is open for Selected Countries Cambodia, Southern Part of China: Yunnan and Guangxi provinces, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand. The scholarship allows Masters level program(s) in the field of Energy Technology, Infrastructure Development, Oil Gas and Natural Resource Development, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences taught at Asian Institute of Technology . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 29 Feb 2020.

The Loom Nam Khong Pijai Scholarships are granted by the Royal Thai Government inhonor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The aim is to assist humanresource development in 6 GMS countries (Cambodia, Southern Part of China:Yunnan and Guangxi provinces, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand)

  • Environmental Engineering
  • Environmental Sciences

Scholarship is available in any academic program related to the following four thematic areas:

  • Infrastructure Development
  • Energy Technology
  • Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Development, and
  • Environmental Engineering and Management.

The scholarship provides an opportunity for students of diverse backgrounds from all countries in Greater Mekong Sub-region to study and do research work together in the truly international environment at AIT and to build a good foundation for international understanding among people of Asia.

Scholarship Benefits:

Each scholarship award covers tuition fees, accommodation, and a bursary for living expenses in AIT's residential campus, for the entire period of the 22-month master degree program.

Eligible Nationalities:

Cambodia, Southern Part of China: Yunnan and Guangxi provinces, Laos, Myanmar, Vietnam and Thailand).

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Have an outstanding education record in a 4-year undergraduate program from an accredited institution in related fields;
  • Have a high proficiency in English as required by AIT (Applicants can also take the AIT English Test administered by the AIT Language Center);
  • cGPA criteria:
  • 3.0 (or equivalent) from the universities listed in QS 1,000 World University Ranking or QS Top 350 Asian Universities Ranking or
  • 3.5 or above (or equivalent) from other universities.
