University of the Arts London is pleased to offer Vice-Chancellor’s postgraduate international scholarships. These are available to low income economy countries for MA, MDes, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification.



The student advice and funding service provide prospective and current students with information and advice about funding options available to cover tuition fees, living costs and course costs.



University of the Arts London offers an extensive range of courses in Art, Design, Fashion, Communication and Performing Art. University’s graduates go on to work in and shape creative industries worldwide.



Applicants must have applied to study a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17. All students need to show proof of their English language ability to enrol at University of the Arts London (UAL).



Course Level: Scholarships are available to undertake postgraduate degree programme.


Study Subject: Scholarships are offered over different departments across the University, all offering a diverse range of courses.

Scholarship Award: Ten scholarships worth £25,000 each are available to applicants meeting eligibility criteria.

Eligibility: Scholarships will be awarded by a UAL selection panel. The panel will make their decision based on a review of the personal statements provided as part of the UAL Vice-Chancellor’s International Postgraduate Scholarships application process. Eligible criteria is:
-Applicants must have applied to study a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL’s six Colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17. Their course must offer either an MA, MDes, MFA, MRes or MSc qualification. Postgraduate Certificate (PgCert), Graduate Diploma, Postgraduate Diploma, MARCH, MBA, distance learning, blended learning and online courses do not qualify.
-In addition, if they already hold a postgraduate taught qualification from studies undertaken in the UK or abroad, they are not eligible to apply for a UAL Vice-Chancellor’s Postgraduate Scholarship.
-Applicants must be ordinarily resident in one of the low income countries detailed at the bottom of this page. In their application they’ll be asked to evidence with documentation that applicants are ordinarily resident in a qualifying country. For example applicants may be asked for a copy of their immigration documents, ID card or formal evidence of their address.
-Acceptance of the scholarship offer is on the condition that they will return to their home country on completion of their taught masters course.

Nationality: Applicants need to be ordinarily resident in one of the low income economy countries listed below to begin to meet the eligibility criteria for a UAL Vice-Chancellor’s international postgraduate scholarship award.

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have applied to study a full-time taught masters course at one of UAL’s six colleges starting in the academic year of 2016/17.

English Language Requirements: All students need to show proof of their English language ability to enrol at University of the Arts London (UAL).


International Scholarships

Supporting Material: As part of the application process, they will need to send several other important documents. Full details of what to submit are shown on the relevant course page, but as a guide, They usually require the following:
-Personal statement
-A copy of academic transcripts (officially translated into English)
-A copy of English language certificate, if English is not first language. They strongly advise to indicatecurrent English language level (e.g. IELTS 6.5) on application form
-Two letters of reference, written in English. References can be sent by post with application or by email from the referee’s academic or work email account
-A copy of passport and any current UK visa
-Immigration history form.

How to Apply: The first step is to register their interest using online form. In the form the university will ask them to confirm that they meet the eligibility criteria required to apply. Once the university have reviewed their details, it will send them an email letting them know what to do next.
