University of Glasgow Masters Scholarships 2016



University of Glasgow is pleased to offer international scholarships to pursue one year masters programme for September 2016 academic session. These scholarships are open to international students applying to all on-campus programmes within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow.

The university’s main objective is to provide high quality, comprehensive educational and training opportunities that are compatible to changing needs of the students.



The College is organized into seven Research Institutes, each focused on key strategic research themes and delivering several postgraduate degree programmes. Their research generates an annual income of over £80M and is focused on improving the health and quality of life of humans and animals across the globe.



In order to undertake a programme of study here at the University, applicants will need to demonstrate that applicant have a good level of written and spoken English. They can demonstrate their level of English with IELTS/TOEFL/PTE or alternative qualifications. The sections below will tell them what grades they need in these qualifications for the subject area they want to study. Some degree programmes have slightly higher requirements than those stated here. When this is so, university will ensure that they are informed using the contact details they have provided on their application. If applicants have been instructed and assessed in English language at a recognised institution, they may be exempt from these requirements.

Scholarship Benefits: Specific scholarships for September 2016 start:
-MSc Brain Sciences: £10,000
-MSc Immunology & Inflammatory Disease: £10,000
-MSc Biomedical Sciences: £10,000
-MSc Biotechnology & Management: £10,000
-MSc Health Technology Assessment: £10,000.



Eligibility: Applicants must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to apply for this scholarship:-
-These scholarships are open to international students applying to all on-campus programmes listed above within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission. The criterion for the scholarship is as follows:
-demonstrate academic excellence and achieve grades equivalent to UK 1st class Honours
-obtain a degree equivalent to a UK 2.1 Hons or better.



Eligible Nationalities: International students (outside the UK/EU) can apply for these scholarships.

How to Apply: Applicants will be automatically assessed for a scholarship. Offers will be made to outstanding applicants based on academic merit. There is no separate application form required. Students who have been awarded a scholarship will normally be notified within six weeks of making an application. If they do not hear from us within this time, they should assume that they have not been awarded a scholarship. All decisions will be made no later than 1 May 2016.
