Mathematical modeling of dynamic systems has become increasingly important in most science fields, engineering and industrial applications. At Ozyegin University in Istanbul we develop state of the art modeling algorithms for the design, analysis and improvement of the complex processes in real engineering applications. The core research topics are modeling of multi-body dynamics systems, vehicle dynamics, mechanical vibrations and vibrational fatigue. Development of experimental setup, correlation of mathematical models, and application of optimization algorithms to optimize the design and evaluate the trade-offs are also at the center of the research.

Ozyegin University is a young, research oriented university with highly motivated and experienced academic staff graduated from reputable universities around the world. We invite outstanding candidates with B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in engineering, physics or mathematics to apply for a computational science oriented graduate program in mechanical engineering department. To be eligible for the program candidates should have a strong background in multibody dynamics, finite element methods, mechanical vibrations and numerical methods. Software experience especially in MSC.ADAMS, ANSA, Hypermesh, Nastran, Matlab is highly desired but not mandatory. The candidate should also have excellent skills in written and verbal English.

The expenses regarding the tuition fee, accommodation will be covered by the university and an additional monthly stipend of 750 Turkish Liras (TL) will be paid in return for assisting the teaching activities at the university. Apart from that students (M.Sc. or Phd. level) are strongly expected to contribute to the ongoing research activities and present their research work in regular internal meetings and as well as in international conferences. In this regard depending on the research performance students will also be supported from industry projects after completing their first semester or earlier on. Research related funding is 2200 TL for M.Sc. students and 2500 TL for doctoral students.
