The National Centre of Excellence in Desalination Australia (NCEDA) offers postgraduate research scholarship in Australia. Scholarship is provided in the field of science and engineering. The maximum value of the Supplementary Scholarship will be $30,000 over three years, with $10,000 payable per annum. Applicants must be enrolled for less than 12 months and who have been successful, or expect to be, in gaining an Australian postgraduate award or other commonwealth recognized scholarship. The application deadline is 25th February 2013.

The National Centre of Excellence in Desalination Australia (NCEDA) leads and coordinates Australia’s research in desalination technology.  Through the NCEDA, Australia is building national capacity and capabilities in desalination with a dual focus on breakthrough fundamental and applied research with a goal of delivering meaningful improvements at commercial scale.

Number of award(s): One scholarship is offered.

Duration of award(s): Scholarship is offered for three years.

What does it cover? -The NCEDA has available a PhD Supplementary Scholarships for one outstanding student at each of the Participating Organization in which Curtin University is one.
-The maximum value of the Supplementary Scholarship will be $30,000 over three years, with $10,000 payable per annum.

How to Apply:
CV containing contact details, education history and academic achievement and publication if applicable; and
Proof of enrolment; and
Project Description/ abstract of no less 300 words outlining how the project aligns with NCEDA’s Research roadmap (please refer to guidelines for applicants attached); timeline of milestones including due dates of annual progress reports and expenses table outlining distributions of Supplementary Scholarship (student will need to consult with supervisor for guidance); and
Letter of Support from the applicant’s supervisor containing a statement on the research capabilities of the student, suitability of the student for a Supplementary Scholarship, what the Supplementary Scholarship will contribute towards i.e. stipend, conference, travel and equipment and also the start date of the project.
