The Specialization program integrates the courses “Learning to Be a Caregiver for People with Chronic Conditions,” “Caring with Confidence for Patients with Chronic Conditions,” and “Learning from Caregiver Experiences in Chronic Conditions.” It approaches care from a comprehensive perspective centered on both patient and caregiver well-being. Through updated core concepts, practical tools, interactive resources, and the analysis of real-life experiences, participants will understand the context of caregiving, including its emotional, physical, and social challenges, as well as the importance of self-care and recognition of the caregiver’s role. Throughout the program, learners will develop skills to identify multidimensional needs, organize and strengthen their role, make informed decisions, solve complex daily situations, and provide safer, more empathetic, and person-centered support. By the end, they will be prepared to deliver more humane, effective, and sustainable care based on evidence, best practices, and a deep understanding of chronic care dynamics.
