Scholarship Description:

LIUC - Università Cattaneo offers the 39th cycle of the three-year PhD Program in Management, Finance and Accounting. This program is delivered in English and it is open to International Students. 

LIUC - Università Cattaneo is a private university located in Castellanza, a small town near Milan, Italy. It offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs in economics, management, engineering and law.

Scholarship Benefits:

LIUC will provide scholarships and tuition waivers for the entire three-year duration of the Ph.D. Program. The opportunities are renewed yearly upon verification of the conditions specified in the Regulations of the Ph.D. Program in terms of applicants’ performance.

The Program admits 8 PhD candidates; places are defined as follows:

a) 4 places with exemption from admission and tuition fees and with the provision of scholarships;

b) 2 places under the provisions of Ministerial Decree No. 118 of March 2, 2023 from the PNRR allocation, Mission 4, Component 1 "Strengthening the supply of education services: from kindergartens to universities" - Investment 3.4 "Advanced university teaching and skills" and Investment 4.1 "Extension of the number of PhDs and innovative PhDs for public administration and cultural heritage" with scholarship tied to research topics related to the following PNRR Missions:

- Digitalization, Innovation, Competitiveness, Culture and Tourism (Mission 1) - Green revolution and ecological transition (Mission 2)
- Infrastructure for sustainable mobility (Mission 3)
- Health (Mission 6)

c) 1 place with only exemption from access and attendance fees;

d) 1 place reserved for company employees within the specific (executive) agreement or to employees of the Public Administration, with exemption only from admission and tuition fees. 

Eligible Nationalities:

The scholarship is available for Italian and Non-Italian Scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria:

The application form may be submitted, without restrictions of citizenship, by whoever holds a Master’s Degree  or equivalent (5-year) with minimum final mark of 95/110 or equivalent foreign academic degree, with minimum mark of 86/100, or persons who expect to achieve such a qualification by 31 October 2023 (failure to do so will render admission void in case of selection) in the following subjects (with reference to Ministerial regulations):

•    LM-77 Economics – Business Administration

•    LM-16 Finance

•    LM-56 Economics

•    LM-31 Engineering Management

•    LM-59 Studies in Public and Corporate Communication and Advertising

•    LM-63 Studies in Public Administration

•    LM-76 Economics for the Environment and Culture

 

Applications from candidates holding a master’s degree (or equivalent) in subject areas other than those listed above, but whose qualifications and experience demonstrate knowledge of the subjects of the Program, shall be considered and assessed by the Admission Committee.

Applicants must apply for admission on the site https://sol.liuc.it. After that, candidates will be eligible to receive this  in Italy.

Supporting Documents: Scan of the application, copy of a valid personal identity document and individual tax code, Diploma Supplement or Degree Certificate, curriculum vitae, two reference letters, international test score, proof of English language certifications, a short statement of purpose written according to the format shown and available on the website (800 words) and an illustrative paper on the development of doctoral research on a research topic of the candidate's choice or on one of the research topics indicated in b.) art. 3.

 

Admission Requirements: Candidates are required to holds a Master’s degree or equivalent foreign qualification and must have 1 – 4 years of Research Experience.

 

Language Requirement: Must have a good knowledge of English with an English language certificate (TOEFL/IELTS). Fluent level of English is required.
