Scholarship Description:

The Radboud Scholarship Programme is a highly selective scholarship programme. It provides talented, motivated, non-EEA students with excellent course grades the opportunity to earn a scholarship for a complete English-taught Radboud University Master's degree programme. Partial scholarships are awarded each year for one of the Radboud University English-taught Master's degree programmes (with the exception of Erasmus Mundus Master's programmes and joint-degree Master's programmes).

For the academic year 2023/2024, up to 26 Radboud Scholarships are available: Faculty of Arts (1), Faculty of Law (9), Faculty of Medical Sciences (1), Nijmegen School of Management (2), Faculty of Philosophy, Theology, and Religious Studies (1), Faculty of Science (10), Faculty of Social Sciences (2).

Scholarship Benefits:

The Radboud Scholarship reduces your tuition fee to €2,314 for the 2022-2023 academic year, for example. This includes visa, health insurance, liability insurance, and residence and visa expenses for studying in the Netherlands (Aon Student Insurance).

Eligibility Criteria:

You will only be eligible to apply for a Radboud Scholarship if you:


  1. hold a non-EU/non-EEA passport
  2. are not eligible for the lower EU/EEA tuition fee for other reasons
  3. have (will obtain) a Bachelor’s degree achieved outside the Netherlands, have no degrees achieved in the Netherlands and did not receive any previous education in the Netherlands (exchange programmes excluded, provided that they are part of the bachelor degree achieved outside the Netherlands)
  4. meet the English language proficiency requirement for the Master’s programme of your choice
  5. have been fully admitted to the English-taught Master’s degree programme starting 1 September 2023 as stated in the formal letter of admission
  6. are able to comply with the conditions for obtaining a visa for the Netherlands
  7. are enrolled at Radboud University as a full-time student for the academic year and Master’s degree programme for which the scholarship will be awarded

Application Procedure:

During the OSIRIS Application system application for a Master's degree program at Radboud University, you may request a Radboud Scholarship. To be considered, you must submit three additional documents: a reference letter and a curriculum vitae. If you have already provided these documents to accompany your application, you may upload them again to apply for a scholarship. The process for selecting a scholar is separate from the process for enrolling in the Master's programme.
