SLIIT Scholarships for SAARC for Undergraduate Degrees in Sri Lanka 2015

Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) is offering scholarships for students to study undergraduate degree programs at SLIIT, Sri Lanka. It offers 07 merit based scholarships covering the full degree duration for the January 2015 intake. Scholarships are awarded to one recipient from each of the SAARC countries depending on the proficiency of their academic credentials. SLIIT scholarships are available for the fields of Information Technology, Business Management or Engineering. The application deadline is October 31, 2014.

• Scholarships are provided to students intending to study any of the degrees at SLIIT University in the fields of Information Technology, Engineering and Business Management.


• Scholarships are available for undergraduate degree programs at SLIIT.


• Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT), Sri Lanka is providing these Scholarships.

Eligibility: The performance at the G.C.E Advanced Level Examination (London or equivalent) namely passing three subjects in the specified stream at one and the same sitting or acquiring eligibility to gain admission to a Bachelor`s Degree programme of the nominated discipline in a University in the home country.
Accompanying Documents:
-International student primary application (Refer link).
-Copy of the G.C.E Advanced Level Certificate and Transcript (London or equivalent) in proof of the successful completion of the admission requirement.
-Copy of the page containing the photograph and personal details in the passport.
-Copy of the Certificate of Birth.

• Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) is offering scholarships for students to study for undergraduate degree programs at SLIIT, Sri Lanka. SLIIT offers 07 merit based scholarships covering the full degree duration for the January 2015 intake. • 7 scholarships are offered (One scholarship is granted for each SAARC Country).


• Scholarships are offered for maximum of 3 or 4 years depending on the type of degree the student selects.


• The full tuition fee for the 3 or 4 years of the degree will be waived off.
  -For Information Technology USD 15,000
  -For Business Management USD 14,000
  -For Engineering USD 16,000
  SLIIT scholarship scheme extends to cover foreign degree programs offered at SLIIT.


• Recipients shall be selected by a screening of their application documents.


• The selected candidate will be notified by email and receive a conditional offer letter.


• The mode of applying is either through the Ministry of Higher Education or by email.
  -All documents must be provided in English.
  - When sending by email all documents are to be submitted as PDF/JPG files.
  -Any documents which cannot be submitted by the deadline must be indicated on the application form and submitted as soon as they are obtained.
  -Scholarship Application Form (use the standard form provided) *to be completed by applicant.
  -Copy of passport with a clear image of the picture must be attached.
  -Educational Certificates in proof of higher education must be attached.
