University of Southampton is offering merit scholarships for international students for 2014 entry. Scholarships are available only for those students who are entering year 1 of their chosen degree programme. All applicants who exceed the standard country offer and meet the criteria will be awarded £1,000 for each year of their LLB; £3,000 in total for a 3 year programme & £4,000 for a 4 year programme. To be eligible for a Southampton International Merit Scholarship, all applicants need to select the University of Southampton as their firm acceptance through UCAS before 6th June 2014.
Eligibility:
-International applicants who are studying one of the following qualifications which we consider equivalent to GCE A levels, and who exceed their standard country offer, will be eligible for an International Merit Scholarship. The following qualifications will be considered:
-Standard GCE A levels; by achieving a minimum of A*AA (please note only the best 3 GCE A levels will be considered and as your offer will have stated, there may be exempt subjects) or
-Cambridge A levels/Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE)/Singapore A levels/Indian CBSE or ISC/Malaysian Sijil Tinggi Persekolahen Malaysia (STPM); by exceeding their standard country offer or
-Singapore Polytechnics and Temasek; by achieving a minimum of 3.2 out of 4.0 GPA or
-International Baccalaureate; by achieving a minimum of 37 points overall (18 at Higher Level)

There is no application form for these Southampton Merit Scholarships they will be automatically awarded to successful applicants after confirmation in August 2014.
