The Need-Based Financial Aid is open at The College of Wooster from 2022-2023. 

The Need-Based Financial Aid at The College of Wooster is now available for students if they have an unweighted cumulative GPA of 3.50 - 4.00.

The College of Wooster officially announced the upcoming class scholarships. It is considered to be one of the top institutions around the globe. 

The College of Wooster was founded in 1866 by the Presbyterian Church as the University of Wooster, it has been officially non-sectarian since 1969 when ownership ties with the Presbyterian Church were ended. It currently functions in  Wooster, Ohio, United States.

Need-based aid is competitive; the maximum financial aid package at Wooster for international students, including both merit and need-based aid, is full tuition.

The College of Wooster offers such scholarships yearly to welcome students to the campus. 

Need-Based Financial Aid will open the door to new and better opportunities for selected students and expose them to advanced learning in undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate programs.

The College of Wooster Ohio USA Need Based Financial Aid 2023 is available to undertake Undergraduate level programs at The College of Wooster.

Scholarship Benefits:

The College of Wooster will provide financial aid to international students. 

Students who are awarded Need-Based financial aid will have that amount included in their Wooster International Scholarship at the time of admission.

Eligibility Criteria:

The College of Wooster has a text-flexible policy for international students

Scores from one of the following standardized tests are preferred by the Admissions Committee: ACT, SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, PTE Academic, or Duolingo.

As an alternative to the preferred tests, especially understanding that these tests are not always accessible for every applicant, students may fulfill the testing requirement by submitting one of the following after emailing global@wooster.edu to request a waiver of the testing requirement:

  • IB predicted grades
  • Three AP exam scores (at least one score must be from AP English Language or Literature).
  • Three A-level predicted grades
  • WAEC results (verified by PIN card info)
  • Board Exams in India, Pakistan, or Bangladesh
  • Korean College Entrance Exam (CSAT) with InitialView Interview

Reporting Test Scores

To support access to all applicants and reduce submission barriers, Wooster will accept self-reported test scores directly from the application or a score report PDF submitted by the applicant. Applicants who choose to self-report their test scores will be required to verify their test scores, upon enrollment, by submitting official scores directly from the testing agency or a school official. Upon verification, any discrepancy between the self-reported scores and the verified scores could jeopardize a student’s enrollment.

ACT (Code: 3260)

Best score is determined by combining the highest score received on each section from any combination of testing dates (i.e. superscoring).

SAT (Code: 1134)

Best score is determined by combining the highest score received on each section from any combination of testing dates (i.e., superscoring).

We will continue to accept scores from the old version of the SAT for the five years scores remain valid, and will superscore within both the old exam and the new, but will not superscore between the two versions. No matter what scores you send, we’ll be considering your best.

The SAT Essay is neither required nor recommended as part of your application credentials.

TOEFL (Code: 1134)

The minimum recommended score for TOEFL (or equivalent) is 80 to be considered for admission to The College of Wooster.

Duolingo

Applicants may submit the Duolingo English Test, which combines an English proficiency test with a brief video interview. Duolingo’s technology and format allow applicants to complete the test at any time or place, as long as they have web access. If you choose to submit Duolingo as your test score, email global@wooster.edu to let us know when your test has been completed.

IELTS

The College of Wooster accepts IELTS TRF forms via email at global@wooster.edu.

Application Procedure:

To apply for need-based financial aid, international students must submit the Wooster International Aid Form (IAF), which will be available to complete electronically on their admissions portal. It’s important that you fill out this document accurately and completely. Incorrect or incomplete information can negatively affect your offer of admission.
