Degree Level

The Ulster University Dean’s Scholarship is available for Undergraduate and Postgraduate (Master’s) degree programs offered in various fields. 

Available Subjects

Eligible subjects include:

  • Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences
  • Law and Criminology
  • TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages)
  • Creative Industries and Communication
  • Business, Engineering, Life and Health Sciences, and more

Benefits

Successful students starting in January 2026 will automatically receive:

  • A £1,500 tuition fee discount as part of the Dean’s Scholarship
  • An additional £2,000 International Scholarship, totaling £3,500 off tuition fees
  • Students applying to select Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences programs may receive an enhanced award of £2,200, for a total of £4,200 in fee reduction
  • This award applies to the first year of study only and is not renewable for subsequent years.

Eligible Nationalities

The scholarship is open to international students from all countries outside the UK and Republic of Ireland (RoI).


Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the University of the Year Dean’s Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be classified as international, self-funding students paying the international tuition fee rate.
  • Hold an offer of admission for a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program at Ulster University starting in January 2026.
  • Meet all academic and English language requirements stated in the offer letter.
  • Be studying at one of Ulster’s Northern Ireland campuses: Belfast, Coleraine, or Derry~Londonderry.
  • Not be enrolled in MBBS, part-time, or eLearning programs, or at branch campuses in London, Birmingham, or Manchester.

Application Procedure

  • There is no separate application required for this scholarship.
  • All eligible students are automatically considered upon receiving their offer to study.
  • Applicants should ensure they have completed all academic and language conditions before the program start date.
