University of Bristol Fully-funded PhD Scholarships

The Faculty of Science is pleased to offer 90 University of Bristol Postgraduate Research Scholarships to UK, EU and international applicants showing exceptional research potential for 2017-2018.

The aim of the scholarship is to enable and encourage academically able students from any nationality.

The University of Bristol is a red brick research university located in Bristol, United Kingdom. It received its royal charter in 1909, and its predecessor institution, University College, Bristol, had been in existence since 1876.

• Scholarships are offered in diverse fields within the Faculty of Science to help students in upgrading their education.


• These PhD Scholarships include full tuition fees, full stipend at the UK Research Council rate (£14,296 in 2016/17) and, in conjunction with the host School, a contribution to research costs at the UK Research Council level appropriate to the discipline.
