Benefits

  • The Scholarship will be known as the Nauhria First in Family Scholarship. 
  • One Scholarship will be offered every three or four years for a maximum of four years and will be with a value of $8,000 annually.

Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to domestic and international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • First-generation university student: Applicants must be the first in their family to attend a university (see Note II for details).
  • Incoming BCom student: Applicants must be enrolled or intending to enroll full-time in the first year of a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) or a joint BCom degree program (see Note III) within the Business School at Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland, for the following academic year.
  • Open to all nationalities

Selection Criteria:

  • Academic merit: Applicants will be assessed based on their academic achievements (see Note III for details).
  • Motivation and potential: A personal statement will be used to evaluate the applicant's motivation to succeed at university.

Application Procedure

  • Mark your calendars! Applications for the Nauhria First in Family Scholarship will be accepted from late August to mid-October 2024. Scholarship applications usually open around six weeks before the deadline that is 10th October 2024, so this gives you a heads-up to get prepared.
  • When applications open: You'll be able to submit your application electronically through the university's scholarship portal. You can find the link on the official website given down below.
