Scholarship Description:

University of Otago New Zealand Coursework Master's Scholarship 2023/24 is open for International Students . The scholarship allows Masters level programm(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at University of Otago . The deadline of the scholarship is open.

The University of Otago Coursework Master's Scholarship is a scholarship offered by the University of Otago. The scholarship is intended to support students enrolled in a Master's degree program at the university, with a focus on coursework-based programs. The scholarship may provide funding for tuition fees, living expenses, and/or other educational expenses, depending on the specific terms and conditions of the scholarship.

University of Otago New Zealand Coursework Master's Scholarship 2023/24 is available to undertake Masters level programs at University of Otago.

Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship consists of $10,000, to be paid towards a rebate of tuition fees in the first instance, with any remainder to be paid as a monthly stipend evenly distributed across the course of the scholarship.

If the recipient withdraws from coursework Master’s study at the University of Otago during tenure of the scholarship, all payments will cease and no money will be refunded to the student. 

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to international students and domestic students.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applications are open to both domestic and international students who are:

s   intending to enroll full-time in the first year of a coursework master’s degree which does not include a thesis option; or,

s   electing to choose the research report or dissertation option in a master’s degree which also allows a

thesis option.

Applicants who have previously completed a coursework Master’s degree at the University of Otago will not normally be eligible for award of the scholarship. 

Application Procedure:

Every applicant must submit an application on the prescribed form.  For applicants yet to enroll in their chosen degree, this must accompany their application for admission to the degree.  For applicants choosing a research report or dissertation option after initial study, application should be made directly to the University of Otago Doctoral and Scholarships Office, after result from initial Master’s papers are received, and no later than one month after starting the dissertation or research report component of their degree.

The University of Otago Scholarships Committee shall consider the following factors in recommending award of the Scholarship:

s   the applicant’s academic record;

s   the advice, recommendation and ranking of the relevant Head of Department or nominee.
