Benefits

The University of Suffolk will award 25 scholarships, each valued at £4,000. These scholarships are available to both undergraduate and postgraduate-taught students enrolled at the Ipswich campus. Importantly, the scholarship is applied as a tuition fee reduction and cannot be exchanged for cash or offset against a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) deposit, if required.



Eligible Nationalities

This scholarship is open to domestic and international students of all nationalities.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

  • Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for an undergraduate (360-credit) or postgraduate-taught (180-credit) program.
  • Be classified as an international (overseas) student for fee purposes.
  • Study full-time and self-fund their tuition.
  • Apply for the scholarship before the deadline of 7 October 2024.
  • Notably, the scholarship is available only for those beginning their undergraduate studies in Year 1 (Level 4) and excludes postgraduate research (PhD/MPhil) and MBA candidates.

Application Procedure

Eligible candidates will need to submit a scholarship application detailing:

  • Academic achievements: Exceptional performance in previous studies, including English language proficiency.
  • Extra-curricular activities: Demonstrating a commitment to both personal and professional growth.
  • Future impact: How they intend to use their degree from the University of Suffolk to positively influence global communities.
  • Applicants will be assessed by a panel of University of Suffolk staff, and successful candidates will be notified within four weeks after the application deadline. Scholarship recipients are required to accept their offer by a specified date, or the offer may be withdrawn.
Terms and Conditions
  • Scholarships are awarded as a fee discount across the duration of study, provided students remain on their original program.
  • The scholarship cannot be combined with other University of Suffolk scholarships or discounts.
  • Scholarship recipients are expected to participate in promotional activities, such as sharing their student experience with the international team.
